MB Enterprises ESE arresters are rated at a 110 metre protection radius. Actual coverage on site depends on mast height and the protection level selected in the risk assessment.
A conventional spike protects a small area directly around it, so it suits houses, small sheds and individual masts. An ESE arrester covers a much larger area from a single point, which makes it the practical choice for factories, warehouses, solar plants and open sites.
Yes. A lightning protection system needs a dedicated low resistance earth, separate from but bonded to the electrical earth. We supply the arrester, down conductor and earthing as one package.
